The Division of Corporations and Trademarks Catalyst system is an online register available to the public 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The system contains three (3) registries, and they are the Business Entity Registry that includes Trade Name, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Registry, and the Trademark Registry.

The Business Entity Registry allows for the registration and maintenance of all business entities and trade names.

Search the Register

Using the Corporation Search option, you can review details of business entities and trade names. Details include the registration date, entity type, status, purpose, addresses, resident agent, shareholders, and principals like officers, directors, members, managers, partners, sole proprietors.

Logon

A logon is used to access many online services - you only need to remember one username and password. The logon is designed to protect your privacy and security. If you forget your username or password, the system is able to remind you by email of your forgotten details.

You will need to register as a user to enable access to the online services to administer your corporation(s).

Business Entity and Trade Name Online Registry

Welcome to the business entity and trade name online filing application of the United States Virgin Islands. This application allows prospective businesses and trade name filers to easily submit payment and documents online as well as maintain business activity and history in one location.  Click the Corporation Search button above to search registry without creating a user account. For all other features, please register or activate a new account. Returning users shall logon to access their dashboard.
Using the registry allows the business community to:
  • Submit all forms and payments online.
  • Request copies and certificates for immediate access.
  • Perform online searches.
  • Review returned forms for re-submission when applicable.
  • Receive reminders of due dates for Business Entity Annual Reports and Trade Name Renewals.

All business entity and trade name filings shall be submitted through the online registry for processing. Filers shall submit new registrations online. Please see the instructions below for establishing and claiming existing entities.

New Registrations:
For new business entities and trade names, please follow the steps below to submit filing to the Division of Corporations and Trademarks for processing:
  1. Register a new online user account.
  2. Select desired service from the I Would Like to… menu. Access other registration types from the menu option Online Services > Form a New Business or Trade Names.
  3. Complete all fields and tabs.
  4. Submit payment, and review your submission status under My Unfinished Business Tab.
The Division of Corporations and Trademarks communicates with filers through email notifications. After a registration is established in the system, please submit all subsequent filings through the Maintain menu option within your entity/trade name profile.

Existing Registrations:
For existing business entities and trade names registered before August 31, 2018, please contact the Division of Corporations and Trademarks for assistance at Contact Us – United States Virgin Islands (gov.vi).

Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Online Registry

The second register, the Uniform Commercial Code Registry, allows individuals to submit, maintain, terminate, and search for liens and UCC financing statements once the user has an account in the Catalyst system. Please follow the instructions to submit and maintain the financing statements.
  1. Register a new online user account.
  2. Select from the items below.
    1. To submit, terminate, assign, or continue a lien filing, select Online Services > UCC > File a Financing Statement.
    2. To amend a lien, select Online Services > UCC > File a Party Change or File a Collateral Change.
    3. To perform searches and/or obtain copies, select Online Services > UCC > Debtor/Secured Party Name Search.
  3. Complete all fields and tabs.
  4. Submit payment, and review your submission status under My Unfinished Business

Filers will receive email notifications containing the status of the instruments.

Trademark Online Registry

The third register, the Trademark Registry, allows individuals to submit, maintain and search trademarks once the user has an account in the Catalyst system and authority over the trademark. Select from the items below.
  1. Register a new online user account.
  2. Select from the items below
    1. To submit a trademark filing, select Online Services > Trademarks > Register a trademark.
    2. To renew, assign, amend owner’s name, and request a summary publication, select the desired service from the maintain tab.
    3. To perform searches and/or obtain copies, select Online Services > Trademarks > Trademark name/USPTO Trademark Number Search, USVI trademark number, and owner name.
  3. Complete all fields and tabs.
  4. Submit payment, and review your submission status under My Unfinished Business

Filers will receive email notifications containing the status of the instruments and reminders of filing due dates.
